Massage-FeetReflexology is a complementary-therapeutic method, that is supporting and balancing the selfhealing-power of humans. The basis of refloxology is the idea that the body is being reflected in single body-parts.

Reflex-zones can be found on feet, hands, head, ears and the whole body. The treatment of such zones on the foot are being particularly popular because of their holistic approach.

Strains in daily life of humans are leading to blockades of the energy-flows and distinct changes in connective tissues, which can be normalized with reflexology.

Reflexology is based on a body-pattern developed by Fitzgerald, who devided the body into ten longitudinal zones and three horizontal ones. Each vertical zone goes from the scull to the fingertips and on the feet. Every zone belongs to a finger or a toe. Additionally, there are three horizontal zones: the head and the neck form the top lateral zone, thorax and belly area are considered to be the middle-zone and the pelvis and the lower part of the body are representing the lower zone. Fitzgerald’s research suggested that one could influence all organs and body parts within the same zone from each position of a zone.

Eunice Ingham completed the idea that each body-zone is reflected in a distinct area or reflexpoint of the foot. For instance: you can find reflexzones of the head and the neck in the area of the toes, the thoracic as well as the organs in your upper belly-region would be reflected in the metatarsus and the ones of the pelvis and lower belly in the heel. There are even reflex-points on the lateral and medial side of the feet, as well as on the back of the foot. Because of this context it was now possible to establish a specific pressure on a reflexpoint on the foot and influence even distant parts of the body. The same principle can also be applied to the hands: with the hand-reflexology you can treat reflexpoints in your hands, accordingly.
